This Friday, June 8th, global lifestyle brand Reebok will release its first pack of Sock Run.r and Run.r 96, the brand’s newest contemporary styles for Fall / Winter.
The unisex silhouettes sit on Reebok’s iconic split cushioned sole, taking a page from a 1996 PUMP EVO prototype. While the footwear industry suggested soles should be singular in nature during the time, Reebok departed from the monotonous design to construct a sole made up of separate pieces for a lighter, faster and more comfortable experience. While that PUMP EVO was shelved at the time, Reebok is infusing split-cushioning into these new styles, showcasing the brand’s pioneering status in the footwear market.
A brand new silhouette for Reebok, the Run.r 96 features a clean, all-white design and chunky outsole. The shoe’s split cushion soles feature sawtooth accents. While the upper features mesh cushioning with smooth rubber accents. The shoe is brought together with cord locks, replacing traditional shoe laces for a contemporary, minimalistic look.
Following the May release of Reebok’s first Sock Run.r, the shoe is being introduced in a new colorway and features an all-over, vibrant blue technical knit that forms to the foot. A white band is adorned across the ankle, complimenting the shoe’s white outsoles.
Both styles will be available on Friday, June 8th at Barneys, Opening Ceremony and SSENSE among other select retailers.
