Back to the Future Marty McFly’s autolacing Nike Mag sneakers are finally here.
Nike has made 89 pairs of the Nike Mag self-tying sneakers to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation and you can win them via an online lottery that started Tuesday.
According to Nike,
“Consumers have an opportunity to donate funds to win one of the pairs of the Nike Mag. The Draw acts like a raffle in that everyone has a chance to win a pair of the Nike Mag. Each ticket is a $10 donation and there is no limit to the amount of tickets you can buy. The more you donate the greater chance you have of winning.”
100 percent of the profits from the shoes will go the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which helps fund research for Parkinson’s disease.
Customers in Canada and the U.S. can purchase tickets for the lottery online or through the Nike+ App. A pair of the shoes will also be auctioned in Hong Kong (Oct. 11), London (Oct. 14 & Oct. 17) and New York City (Nov. 12).
The lottery closes on Oct. 11 and winners will be contacted on Oct. 17.
