FILA and Sweet Chick partner for a unique and fun spin on the Cage basketball retro. The collaboration will feature two iterations of the basketball silhouette, which align with the restaurants’ chicken and waffles signature dish. New York born and bred restauranteur John Seymour has had a love/addiction for sneakers all his life. John has a way of being at the right place at the right time, he met the Director of FILA Heritage at an event and educated him on the Sweet Chick brand and lifestyle. Everyone agreed, the two brands aligned on every level and wanted to collaborate on a pair of kicks.
The two cage colorways come dressed in premium suede in biking red and cream colorways. Lace medallions are an immediate pop, with the “Chicken” and “Waffles” appearing on opposite sneakers. Other details for the pairs include a gum outsole, tumbled leather cage, dual collaborative logos on opposing tongues, decorative logo detail on the back tongue and sock lining, and custom foot-bed. Custom packaging will include iconic cage box with dual branding, which will also be evident within the tissue paper and custom hang tag.
