On Saturday, adidas, James Harden and fans across the country celebrated the arrival of Harden Vol. 1, the first signature basketball shoe and apparel line for the Houston Rockets All-Star. James and adidas worked with local artists, musicians, high school basketball players and sneakerheads in Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles to co-create three unique Harden Vol. 1 parties to release the shoe. Fans who attended were able to test Harden Vol. 1, customize apparel and enjoy performances by some of James’ favorite artists and DJs.
In Los Angeles, James surprised fans at the adidas Santa Monica store and Foot Locker 3rd Street Promenade taking pictures with and picking up the tab for lucky sneakerheads waiting to get Harden Vol. 1. James then headed to Nice Kicks for a West Coast style block party with food, hoops, custom art by @thankyoux and performances by DJ E-Rock, DJ Justin Credible and DJ Mustard.
In New York, James Harden fans were treated to an intimate performance from Jeezy and art by @askewone at the adidas x Foot Locker Harden Vol. 1 launch party at NYC33. Finally, in Atlanta, Wheeler High School hosted their Harden Vol. 1 celebration with @occasionalsuperstar designing Harden-themed art posters and DJ Esco spinning for thousands of high school basketball players.
Harden Vol. 1 is available at adidas, Foot Locker and Eastbay for $140.
