Under Armour has just unleashed “WIRED DIFFERENT,” its new global footwear campaign with Stephen Curry supporting the launch of the Curry 5.

Basketball was wired the same for decades – a game predicated on size and brute strength, but Stephen is “Wired Different” than his predecessors.

They said he was not as tall and not as strong as his counterparts. But what he lacked in size he made up for in his IQ. He’s shifty and quick, strategic and surgical, plus he packs unlimited range from three. Over the years, he has single-handily turned the court into a 40-foot playground behind the arc. They said he was a one-off, but he has helped lead an evolution of basketball, giving players of all sizes – and abilities – the confidence to achieve the impossible through hard work, determination and will and in order to continue to break the game and shatter the status quo, Stephen has created a new operating system that’s “Wired Different” for the modern game.

Introducing the Curry 5. Light, low and built for optimum speed and agility. The full knit construction with molded cushioning and a unique lockdown lacing system brings total precision to the shoe’s 360 degree fit and feel. Its unbelievable grip traction system provides quick-stop traction while being balanced by a white and black-patterned upper with pops of red accents on the tongue and forefoot traction underfoot. The white midsole is accented by subtle but clean icy blue speckle, rounding out a simple but dynamic silhouette for the Curry 5.
